BloodClan

A town gang that calls itself a Clan and follows no stars and no code.

BloodClan is a group of stray cats who live in the alleys of a human town near the forest in Warriors. The forest cats do not consider it a true Clan, because its members believe neither in StarClan nor in the warrior code, and they regard BloodClan as a band of rogues. It is ruled by Scourge, who allows no other cat to give its orders. BloodClan is introduced in The Darkest Hour, the last novel of the first arc.

Lore & Background

Scourge, once a kit named Tiny, was attacked by Tigerstar when he was young, grew to resent the Clans and came to rule the cats of the town as a dictator. In The Darkest Hour, Tigerstar brings BloodClan to the forest to force Firestar and Tallstar into his alliance, but when he orders it to attack, the cats do not move. Tigerstar leaps at Scourge, who kills him with a single blow that takes all nine of his lives. Scourge then gives the Clans three days to leave the forest.

ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan and ShadowClan unite as LionClan and meet BloodClan in battle; Bone, Scourge's second-in-command, kills Whitestorm and is brought down by a group of apprentices, and Firestar loses a life before killing Scourge. Without its leader BloodClan scatters. In the manga Ravenpaw's Path, former BloodClan cats led by Snake and Ice, brothers of Barley, take over the farm where Barley and Ravenpaw live; Barley himself belonged to BloodClan in his youth.
