The Rogues
No name, no nest, no code—just the wild and the teeth to survive it.
Rogues are one of the three kinds of cat that live outside the Clans in Warriors, alongside kittypets and loners. Where a loner is a stray who keeps to itself beyond Clan territory and sometimes helps the Clans, a rogue may live alone or in a group and may mean the Clans harm. The Clan cats use the word for outsiders who do not respect their rules, and they count BloodClan, the cats of the nearby town, as rogues too.
Lore & Background
Rogues turn up at several turning points of the series. In Forest of Secrets the deputy Tigerclaw leads a band of rogues into the ThunderClan camp while pretending to defend it. In Outcast a group of rogues harasses the Tribe of Rushing Water, steals its prey and ignores the borders the Clan cats mark for it, until the Tribe learns to fight and drives the invaders to promise they will leave it alone. In A Vision of Shadows a group of rogue cats led by Darktail attacks the Clans again and again and almost succeeds in disbanding ShadowClan. Rogues can also join a Clan: the rebuilt SkyClan takes in loners, rogues and former kittypets.
