Background

The group is made up of former citizens of Elde Menancia who survived the hollowing, a great conspiracy that threatened to undermine Dohalim il Qaras's reign. Migal discovered that Dahnans quarantined in the medical facility at Razrum Quarry were being hollowed by the Fruit of Helgan placed in their food; the conspirators framed him as a would-be assassin of the lord and force-fed him the fruit before leaving him for dead, and after escaping he gathered others like him to keep Menancia from reverting to what it once was.

His cat Zareh leads the party to his hideout, and Migal warns Dohalim of the threat at the cost of his own life, eating a Fruit of Helgan before the lord's eyes. When the conspirators rose up, the citizens of Menancia banded together to drive them out. Migal's second in command took up the reins in reforming the government, and the Gold Dust Cats return as part of the newly formed Service Corps.
