Background

Players can switch fighters out at any time or call on those not in play for assist attacks, and a match is won by depleting all three of the opponent's fighters. Each character has a Nen Arts meter that fills during combos and powers a strong one-off attack.

Single-player modes include a story mode that reenacts battles from the original story, a training mode, and a Heaven's Arena mode of increasingly challenging CPU fighters. The base game has 16 playable characters, and a season pass added four more, including Neferpitou and Zeno Zoldyck. The Japanese voices come from the cast of the 2011 anime.

First announced at Jump Festa in December 2023, the game slipped from 2024 to 2025 so that rollback netcode could be added. Australia's Classification Board refused to classify it in November 2024, which kept it off sale there.
