The six types are those who strengthen their natural physical abilities, those who project aura out of their bodies, those who control objects or living things, those who change the type or properties of their aura, those who create objects out of aura, and those with unique abilities that fit none of the other categories. A user can also take a vow to follow certain conditions, which strengthens an ability in proportion to how strict they are.

Killua's Hatsu uses electricity in various ways to boost his physical capabilities, including Godspeed, which lets him move at immeasurable speeds. Welfin's Hatsu fires missiles if a target lies or disobeys an order, though it switches off when he is afraid.
