Snotlout
Hiccup's brash rival and the rider of the Monstrous Nightmare Hookfang.
Snotlout Jorgenson is one of Hiccup's dragon-training classmates on Berk, the son of Spitelout Jorgenson. The 2010 film describes him as brash, overconfident and fairly unintelligent, but reliable. He was voiced by Jonah Hill in the animated films and by Zack Pearlman in the television series, and is played by Gabriel Howell in the live-action remake, where he sees himself as Hiccup's rival. His dragon is Hookfang, a red male Monstrous Nightmare.

Lore & Background
In the television series Snotlout is reckless and quarrelsome and often mocks or annoys the other riders, and his relationship with Hookfang is complicated: the dragon tends to attack or abandon him when he tries to assert dominance. Young Gustav Larson takes Snotlout as his model and hero. In Cressida Cowell's novels Snotface Snotlout is Hiccup's much-despised cousin, and his dragon is a Monstrous Nightmare named Fireworm.
