The Dragon's Nest
The dragons' island nest, ruled by the Red Death in the first film.
The Dragon's Nest is the island home of the dragons in How to Train Your Dragon, ruled by a gigantic dragon called the Red Death, which forces the smaller dragons to bring it food so that they are not eaten themselves; this is why they raid Berk. Stoick's fleet sets out to find and destroy it, and in the 2025 remake it lies inside a volcano.

Lore & Background
Hiccup and Astrid first see it when Toothless is drawn there during their flight. Stoick then uses the captured Toothless to guide his fleet to the nest; the Vikings break it open and wake the Red Death, which overwhelms them until Hiccup and his friends arrive on the training dragons. Hiccup and Toothless bring the Red Death down, and in the explosion Hiccup loses his left foot.
