Dragons: Defenders of Berk is the second season of the DreamWorks Dragons animated television series, broadcast on Cartoon Network in 2013-14; the series is based on the 2010 film and bridges the first film and How to Train Your Dragon 2. Its first ten episodes came out on DVD as Defenders of Berk: Part 1 on March 25, 2014, and the second part followed on May 27, 2014. Two comic books with the same title were published on February 24, 2016.

Lore & Background
The season kept the theme "This is Berk" of the first season; the Netflix continuation, Race to the Edge, switched to "Dragon Racing". The series was the only DreamWorks Animation series made for Cartoon Network rather than Nickelodeon.
