Lore & Background
Warlords give him a captive Light Fury as bait to catch Toothless for their use as an alpha. He visits Hiccup to demand Toothless, boasting of having killed nearly every Night Fury, and escapes Hiccup's ambush while his Deathgripper dragons destroy Berk. He later captures Toothless and the Light Fury and uses Toothless's alpha status to seize Berk's dragons, but in the final chase Hiccup slips out of the prosthetic leg Grimmel is holding, and Grimmel falls to his death.
