Berk's Settlement
The island village of Berk, raided by dragons until its people made peace with them.
Berk is the Viking village at the centre of the How to Train Your Dragon films, set on the rugged Isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons had been bitter enemies for generations. Its people, the Hooligan Tribe, are led by Stoick the Vast.
Lore & Background
Dragons raid the village to steal livestock until the first film reveals that they are forced to feed the Red Death; after its defeat, Berk begins a new era of peace with dragons, and in the series the dragons' natural behaviour causes chaos in the village. In The Hidden World the overcrowded village is destroyed by Grimmel's Deathgrippers, and its people settle a new island they call New Berk.
