Crowfeather
WindClan's chosen cat on the journey to the sun-drown-place, and the father the Three never knew.
Crowfeather is a WindClan tom in Warriors and, in the later arcs, the Clan's deputy under Harestar. As the apprentice Crowpaw he is the WindClan cat chosen for the journey to find the Clans a new home. He falls in love with the ThunderClan medicine cat Leafpool and is the father of Hollyleaf, Lionblaze and Jayfeather; with his WindClan mate Nightcloud he has a son, Breezepelt.
Lore & Background
In Midnight a dream from StarClan sends Crowpaw, with Brambleclaw, Feathertail and Tawnypelt, to the sun-drown-place. On the way back through the mountains the cougar Sharptooth goes for him when the cats' trap fails, and Feathertail, with whom he has a brief romance, dies bringing the beast down. In Starlight, now a warrior, he judges that the moorland by the lake suits WindClan, and he saves Leafpool from two ShadowClan warriors and tells her he loves her.
In Twilight the two run away together but return when they hear of the badger attack, and Leafpool chooses to stay with her Clan. When Hollyleaf reveals at a Gathering in Sunrise that he is the father of Leafpool's kits, Crowfeather denies it; Nightcloud and Breezepelt are furious at never having been told. He and his son are reconciled in Crowfeather's Trial. In Hidden Moon an eagle drops him on the way back from the Tribe, and he lies in a coma until Chasing Shadows.
