Lore & Background
In The Sight the blind Jaypaw gives up warrior training to become a medicine cat apprentice, discovers that he can walk in other cats' dreams, and overhears the prophecy in Firestar's. In Dark River, Lionpaw meets the WindClan apprentice Heatherpaw in tunnels under the moor, and the three find missing WindClan kits there and prevent a battle. In Outcast a patrol travels to the mountains to help the Tribe of Rushing Water against rogues. In Eclipse the loner Sol foretells that the sun will vanish; it does so in the middle of a battle between all four Clans, and Sol leads ShadowClan away from its faith in StarClan.
In Long Shadows the three help restore that faith, a fire traps them, and Ashfur learns from Squirrelflight that they are not her kits; soon afterwards he is found dead. In Sunrise the truth comes out: their parents are the medicine cat Leafpool and Crowfeather of WindClan, and Hollyleaf, who killed Ashfur, announces it at a Gathering and flees into the tunnels, which collapse behind her.
