The Rebellion

The rebellion against the Capitol grows out of Katniss's defiance in the Games. After the Quarter Quell arena is destroyed, Katniss is taken to District 13, the rebellion's underground headquarters, and riots break out in more than half the districts. Under President Alma Coin, District 13 makes Katniss the "Mockingjay", the face of its propaganda. The rebels finally take the Capitol, and Coin claims power until Katniss kills her at Snow's execution.
