Lore & Background

There are thirty Poneglyphs scattered around the world. Four of them, the Road Poneglyphs, each give a piece of information that together points to Laugh Tale, the last island of the Grand Line where Gol D. Roger left the One Piece. Robin has read several: one under Alubarna in Alabasta that turned out to hold the kingdom's annals rather than the expected details of the weapon Pluton, one in the Great Belfry of Shandora on Skypiea that speaks of the weapon Poseidon and carries a message from Roger, one in the Sea Forest of Fish-Man Island with an apology from a man called Joy Boy, and the Road Poneglyph in Big Mom's treasure room on Whole Cake Island, of which she keeps a copy. The Mink Tribe guards a red Poneglyph of its own. In the World Government's telling, Queen Lili of Alabasta spread the Poneglyphs that describe the Void Century across the world.
