The Gum-Gum Fruit (Gomu Gomu no Mi) is the Devil Fruit Monkey D. Luffy eats by accident, giving his body rubber-like properties at the cost of being unable to swim.

In his signature attack, the Gum-Gum Pistol, Luffy slingshots punches at opponents from a distance. The fruit was later revealed to be the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit; the name Gum-Gum Fruit came from World Government propaganda. When Luffy takes an apparently fatal blow from Kaido, the fruit awakens, giving his rubber body greater strength and freedom, including turning the environment and other living beings into rubber, limited only by his imagination. Oda has said the fruit was inspired by his own laziness.
