Iwagakure
The Hidden Stone Village and its long-lived Third Tsuchikage.
Iwagakure, the Hidden Stone Village, is a ninja village led by the Tsuchikage. For most of the series that is Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage, grandson of the First Tsuchikage Ishikawa and protege of the Second, Mu.
Lore & Background
During the Third Great Ninja War Hidden Stone ninja captured Rin Nohara, which led to the mission on which Obito Uchiha was crushed. Deidara is a former Iwagakure ninja who left after bombing the village. At the Kage Summit Onoki admits to having often hired the Akatsuki, which he defends as necessary to protect the village during its demilitarization.
Reader's Guide
Onoki uses the Particle Style, which combines Fire, Earth and Wind and disintegrates what it touches, and can alter gravity to fly. In the Fourth Great Ninja War his techniques keep many Alliance ninja alive and he becomes the de facto leader of the assault on the real Madara Uchiha. His granddaughter Kurotsuchi serves in the Second Division under her father Kitsuchi and succeeds him as Fourth Tsuchikage by the epilogue.
