Land of Waves
The Land of Waves is the country to which Team 7 escorts the bridge builder Tazuna on its first mission above D rank. It is a place of poverty and fear, living under the criminal Gato.
Lore & Background
Gato wants Tazuna dead and hires the Demon Brothers and then the rogue swordsman Zabuza Momochi, with his follower Haku, to kill him. Team 7 stays at Tazuna's home, where Naruto meets the builder's grandson Inari, and Kakashi trains his students in the woods for the next fight.
Reader's Guide
The decisive battle is fought on Tazuna's unfinished bridge. Haku dies shielding Zabuza from Kakashi's Lightning Blade, and when Gato arrives with his own army of thugs to dispose of everyone, Zabuza uses the last of his strength to kill him. As Team 7 leaves, Tazuna names the finished bridge the Great Naruto Bridge, for the strength Naruto gave Inari and Inari gave the town.
