Kisame Hoshigaki

A shark-like swordsman of the Mist whose living blade feeds on chakra.

Kisame Hoshigaki was a ninja from the Hidden Mist Village and a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He was a missing-nin and a member of the Akatsuki organization, partnered with Itachi Uchiha. Kisame has massive amounts of chakra, and by fusing with his sword he can take a shark-like form that increases his abilities. He wielded Samehada, a living sword covered in scales that absorbs an opponent's chakra. Captured after being defeated by Might Guy, he killed himself rather than give up what he knew, first sending the intelligence he had gathered to the Akatsuki.

Kisame is a former ninja of Kirigakure with pale blue skin, gill-like markings and sharp triangular teeth. While loyal to his village he was one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist; in the Akatsuki his partner is Itachi Uchiha. In battle he often shapes water into sharks. He is seemingly decapitated by Killer Bee and the Raikage, which turns out to be a shapeshifting trick by Zetsu, and after his later capture by Might Guy he takes his own life.
