Takigakure is the Village Hidden in the Waterfalls. Kakuzu of the Akatsuki is a former ninja of the village, and Fū, the host of the Seven-Tails Chōmei before the Akatsuki's hunt, belonged to it.

Lore & Background

When Kakuzu still lived there, the village gave him the mission of assassinating Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage.

Reader's Guide

The village is the setting of the original video animation Mission: Protect the Waterfall Village!, in which Team 7 escorts a ninja named Shibuki home and helps him fight the missing-nin who stole the village's "Hero's Water".
