Background
Isshiki came to Earth with Kaguya to claim the fruit of a Divine Tree their clan had planted, but Kaguya betrayed and fatally wounded him. A novice monk named Jigen found him, and Isshiki survived by taking over Jigen's body and placing a Kāma on his host. Because Jigen's body could not withstand his chakra, he set out to prepare a new host and, as Jigen, founded the organisation Kara to grow a new Divine Tree and obtain its chakra fruit. His dojutsu grants Sukunahikona, the power to shrink or enlarge any object. Kara's search for a suitable Vessel yields a failure in Code and a success in Kawaki.
After Naruto takes Kawaki in, Isshiki draws power from a captive Ten-Tails and comes to the Leaf. When Naruto refuses to hand the boy over, Isshiki carries the Hokage to another dimension, where Sasuke tracks them; the two push Jigen's body to its limits but Isshiki beats them decisively and seals Naruto away. After Team 7 rescues Naruto from Boro, Koji Kashin attacks the weakened Jigen and kills his body, forcing Isshiki to revive in a frail form; Isshiki destroys Koji after learning he is a clone of Jiraiya made by Amado, his most trusted confidant.
Running out of time in Jigen's failed vessel, he returns to the Leaf to re-mark Kawaki. Boruto uses his Karma to teleport Isshiki to another dimension, where Isshiki beats Naruto, badly injures Sasuke and maims Boruto before Naruto returns in Baryon Mode and fights him evenly. With only five minutes of life left he teleports Kawaki to the battlefield and brands him, but Kawaki had only let him brand a shadow clone, and he stomps Isshiki to dust as he crumbles. His soul leaves Code a Ten-Tails to carry on his work. Kenjiro Tsuda voices him in Japanese and Keith Silverstein in English.
