Kameo Fighters are partner characters introduced in Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) who step in briefly during a match to help the main fighter. They form a separate roster chosen before each fight, and the choice also affects how much health the player has.

Lore & Background

The base game has 15 Kameo Fighters, with six more added as downloadable content, drawn from across the franchise plus two new characters. Each offers two kinds of assist: Summons, used while the player stays in place, and Ambushes, usable whatever the player is doing. A Kameo can also perform its own Fatalities and Brutalities, and Fatal Blows have the player and the Kameo attack together. Goro, Frost, Sareena, Motaro and the original Cyrax and Sektor are among the Kameos.
