Brutalities

The long combo that ends with the opponent exploding.

A Brutality is a Mortal Kombat finishing move introduced in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995): the player strikes the defeated opponent with a long string of punches and kicks until the victim explodes.

Lore & Background

The Sega Genesis and SNES versions of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 took the move from Mortal Kombat Trilogy as an 11-button combo. In those versions Rain and Noob Saibot, playable for the first time, had only Babalities, Brutalities and Stage Fatalities as finishers. Later games brought the Brutality back with a different function; in Mortal Kombat X the duo Ferra and Torr receive fatalities and brutalities on Torr.
