Lin Kuei Cybernetics
The Lin Kuei's plan to turn its best warriors into cyborgs.
Lin Kuei cybernetics are the clan's conversion of its warriors into cyborgs, first shown in Mortal Kombat 3 (1995). Kuai Liang, the second Sub-Zero, leaves the Lin Kuei when it begins the conversions, and the cyborgs Cyrax and Sektor are sent to hunt him down.

Smoke tries to leave with Kuai Liang but is captured and converted, though he finds he still has his soul. Kuai Liang later reprograms Cyrax to help fight Shao Kahn. The 2011 reboot calls the plan the Cyber Initiative: Sektor backs it, Cyrax opposes it and is converted anyway, Raiden saves Smoke, and Kuai Liang is converted in his place before regaining his mind. In Mortal Kombat 11 Frost leads the Cyber Lin Kuei for Kronika and a time-displaced Sektor builds a cyborg factory, which Cyrax destroys. In Mortal Kombat 1 Sektor instead builds powered suits for Bi-Han's Lin Kuei.
