Tengen the Half-God

The immortal sorcerer behind the barriers of Jujutsu High.

Tengen is an immortal Jujutsu Sorcerer, described as part Curse and part human, and the foundational figure for Jujutsu Sorcerers. Religious groups have sprung up that worship Tengen as a deity.

Lore & Background

Tengen stays within the Tombs of the Star Corridor, maintaining the barriers that protect the Tokyo and Kyoto schools. After the Shibuya Incident, Yuji Itadori's group reaches the underground chamber with the help of Choso's link to the Death Paintings. Tengen tells them who Kenjaku is, what the Culling Game is meant to achieve, and that the Angel, Hana Kurusu, can open the Prison Realm, whose "Back" Tengen holds.

Reader's Guide

Yuki Tsukumo and Choso stay behind as guards, but Kenjaku overcomes them and takes Tengen. After Sukuna's defeat the sorcerers use Tengen's remains to stabilize the barriers.
