Heian-era sorcery refers to jujutsu as it was practiced during the Heian era, described as the golden age of jujutsu sorcerers. Ryomen Sukuna was regarded as the strongest sorcerer of that age.
Lore & Background
The ancient sorcerer Kenjaku wants to evolve humanity through Cursed Energy and create a new golden age similar to the Heian period. At the end of the Shibuya Incident he uses Idle Transfiguration on the people he has marked over the years, bringing sorcerers of the past back as incarnates, and declares to Sukuna his intent to resurrect the era.
Reader's Guide
The Culling Game puts these reincarnated sorcerers among its players. Yorozu, a Heian-era sorcerer from Aizu who was recognized by the Fujiwara clan, returns in the body of Tsumiki Fushiguro, and Sukuna's thousand-year-old follower Uraume fights at his side.
