Star Religious Group
The cult that reveres Master Tengen and pays for the death of the Star Plasma Vessel.
The Star Religious Group, called the Time Vessel Association in the story, is a religious cult that reveres Master Tengen. It opposes Tengen's merger with the Star Plasma Vessel, believing the merger would corrupt Tengen's purity.
Lore & Background
In 2006 the group is one of two factions that target the Vessel, 14-year-old Riko Amanai; the other is the curse-user sect Q. It hires the assassin Toji Fushiguro, who puts a 30-million-yen bounty on Riko, shoots her dead in Tengen's lair and delivers her body to the Association for payment. Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, the students assigned to protect her, find its non-sorcerer members with her body; Geto holds that revenge on them would be meaningless.
Reader's Guide
A year later, after massacring a village and being sentenced to death, Geto takes over the Time Vessel Association.
