Mahito

A soul-manipulating Curse who serves as the physical catalyst for the Shibuya Incident.

Mahito is a Special Grade Cursed Spirit and a key antagonist in the Shibuya Incident arc. He is a member of the group led by Suguru Geto—later revealed to be the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku inhabiting Geto's corpse—alongside Jogo and Hanami. Mahito is a soul-manipulating Curse who serves as a physical catalyst for the group's plan to seal Satoru Gojo and reform the Jujutsu world. His actions devastate Yuji Itadori personally, most notably by killing Yuji's friend Junpei Yoshino and later his mentor, Kento Nanami, and severely wounding Nobara Kugisaki. Mahito is ultimately defeated by Yuji with help from Kyoto student Aoi Todo, after which Kenjaku absorbs the Curse to advance his own plans.

Mahito is a Special Grade Cursed Spirit born from human hatred. He possesses the Cursed Technique Idle Transfiguration, which allows him to reshape the soul of any living being by touch, causing immediate and grotesque physical deformities. This technique makes him an existential threat because damaging the soul bypasses conventional physical durability. Mahito can also heal his own injuries by transfiguring his soul back to a stable state. He belongs to the group led by Suguru Geto, in truth Kenjaku, alongside Jogo and Hanami. During the exchange event he infiltrates Tokyo Jujutsu High and steals Sukuna's fingers and three Death Paintings, and in the Shibuya Incident he floods the station with transfigured humans.

Mahito's primary ability, Idle Transfiguration, allows him to reshape the soul by touch, instantly altering the physical body. This makes him an existential threat to any sorcerer who relies on physical durability. He can also heal his own injuries by transfiguring his soul back to a stable state. His defining moments include killing Junpei Yoshino, killing Kento Nanami, severely wounding Nobara Kugisaki, and his final confrontation with Yuji where he is defeated with help from Aoi Todo. After his defeat, Kenjaku absorbs Mahito to awaken countless sorcerers and advance his plan.
