Star Plasma Vessel

The human fated to merge with the immortal Tengen once every five hundred years.

A Star Plasma Vessel is the specific human with whom the immortal sorcerer Tengen merges. Tengen does not age, but every five hundred years they must restore their body by merging with a Vessel, or their technique will make them evolve beyond humanity into a potentially dangerous state.

Lore & Background

In 2006 the Vessel is 14-year-old Riko Amanai, raised by her caretaker Misato Kuroi after her family died in an accident. Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are assigned to escort her while the curse-user group Q and the Time Vessel Association try to have her killed. Riko has embraced her fate, yet she admits to Geto that she would rather go on living as an ordinary teenager. Moments later Toji Fushiguro shoots her dead.

Reader's Guide

Because the merger never takes place, Tengen evolves into a non-human being, an outcome Kenjaku arranged and one that leads to the Culling Game. Yuki Tsukumo, one of the four special grade sorcerers, is a former Star Plasma Vessel.
