The Crystal Tower

Xande's stronghold in Final Fantasy III, and the tower G'raha Tia carried across worlds.

In Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, the Crystal Tower stands in Central Lakeland on the First, where it mysteriously appeared a century earlier. People from a doomed future timeline, combining powers from Alexander and Omega, sent G'raha Tia and their Crystal Tower across time and worlds.

Lore & Background

G'raha arrived in Norvrandt a hundred years earlier than planned and used the time to fortify the tower into the Crystarium, leading the city as its Crystal Exarch. The expansion opens as the Warrior of Light and Tataru approach the Crystal Tower on the Source, hoping to restore the Scions, and the Warrior is summoned to the First by the Exarch's voice.

In Final Fantasy III the Crystal Tower is the stronghold of the mage Xande; after gaining the Earth Crystal's blessing and taking keys from his most powerful servants, the Warriors of Light and their allies break into it.
