Lore & Background
Kira has been friends with Momo Hinamori and Renji Abarai since their academy days. He is loyal to them but tends to put his duty first. After drawing his sword on a grieving Hinamori to protect Gin, he calls himself a "monster", and he comes to regret helping Gin leave, growing gloomier and more pessimistic.
In the Wandenreich invasion the Stern Ritter Bazz-B wounds him so badly he seems dead. He survives, Mayuri Kurotsuchi heals him, and he goes on to fight the weakened bird clones of Lille Barro's Vollständig.
Wabisuke
Released with "raise your head", the blade bends into a squared hook. Every hit doubles the weight of what it strikes, and the effect stacks, so after seven or eight blocked blows an opponent cannot lift their sword or move and ends up kneeling with head bowed. The hook then takes their head.
