Horn of Valere
Legendary horn that calls dead heroes back to fight.
The Horn of Valere can summon legendary heroes from the dead. It is stolen from Fal Dara, along with the tainted dagger of Shadar Logoth, by the dark forces that free Padan Fain in The Great Hunt, and Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon and Perrin Aybara join a Shienaran party under Lord Ingtar in the hunt to recover it.
Lore & Background
At Falme Mat blows the Horn to summon the heroes against the invading Seanchan. In A Memory of Light Faile Bashere seizes the Horn at Merrilor and gives it to Olver, who sounds it to summon the heroes to rescue Elayne; Mat then uses them with Seanchan reinforcements in the Last Battle.
