Eye of the World
A well of pure, untainted saidin guarded by the Green Man.
The Eye of the World is a well of pure, uncorrupted saidin, the male half of the One Power, and the destination of the first novel. There Rand al'Thor finds himself able to channel for the first time and rebuffs Ba'alzamon, whom he believes to be the Dark One himself.
Lore & Background
The Forsaken Aginor and Balthamel, freed from their imprisonment and horribly disfigured by it, confront Rand and his companions at the Eye. Aginor draws too much of the One Power and incinerates himself, and Balthamel burns the Green Man, Someshta, nearly to death before Someshta uses the last of his life to consume him with fungi and plant life.
