Callandor
The crystal sword of the Stone of Tear, a sa'angreal only the Dragon Reborn can take.
Callandor is a crystal sword and powerful sa'angreal, an artifact that amplifies the One Power, kept in the Stone of Tear. In The Dragon Reborn the Forsaken Be'lal, posing as the High Lord Samon of Tear, lures Rand al'Thor to the Stone because only the Dragon Reborn can retrieve it; Rand claims the sword and proves himself the Dragon Reborn.
Lore & Background
In The Shadow Rising Rand uses Callandor to raise a lightning storm that destroys the Trollocs and Fades attacking the Stone. In The Path of Daggers he tries to destroy a Seanchan army with it and loses control, and in A Memory of Light he carries it, with Moiraine and Nynaeve, into his confrontation with the Dark One's champion Moridin.
