The district of uprisings and the bombed hospital.

District 8 is one of the districts of Panem. In Catching Fire, Katniss meets Bonnie and Twill, refugees from District 8 after its failed uprising. In Mockingjay she is filmed at a rebel hospital there, and in the film Snow answers the footage with an airstrike on the hospital. After the war, Commander Paylor of District 8 is voted president. In The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Coriolanus kills its tribute Bobbin in self-defence.
