Development
The game was first announced in August 2015 through a reveal in V Jump magazine. In June 2016, Gaijinworks announced an English release for Q1 2017 in North America and Europe. Victor Ireland of Gaijinworks described the translation as one of his biggest undertakings, with a script equivalent to five novels—50% larger than Summon Night 5. Translation began in January 2016, with the full release expected at least a year later. Ireland cited the PS4's popularity as the main reason for localizing the title, aiming to bring the niche series to a larger audience. The game received a physical release in North America but was digital-only in Europe.
