It first launched for Xbox One in Japan during 2015, then arrived on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in 2016 across Japan, North America, and the PAL region. A Windows version followed on April 24, 2017.

Plot
The story is set in a dystopian future Tokyo where a personality scan called a Psycho-Pass can preemptively imprison people for their propensity to commit crimes. The game takes place within the timeline of the anime's first 12 episodes. The player controls either inspector Nadeshiko Kugatachi, who has missing memories, or enforcer Takuma Tsurugi, whose lover is missing. The antagonist is a rogue artificial intelligence named Alpha, who seeks to bring happiness through unsanctioned means such as chemical control and mass manipulation.
Reception
The game received mixed or average reviews on all platforms according to Metacritic. Famitsu gave the Xbox One version a score of 32 out of 40. Critics praised the narrative and characterization, but some noted low production values and limited gameplay. The PlayStation Vita port was criticized for lacking text resizing.
