Mount Tamalpais

In the Percy Jackson books, Mount Tamalpais is the modern-day location of the Titans' domain of Mount Othrys. In The Titan's Curse, the Oracle of Delphi gives Zoë Nightshade a prophecy instructing her to travel there to rescue Artemis and Annabeth. Reaching the peak, the group finds Artemis holding up the sky, a burden Annabeth was also forced to bear.

Lore & Background

On the mountain, Luke Castellan tempts Thalia Grace to join Kronos's forces; she refuses and kicks him off Mount Tamalpais, and he is thought dead but later revealed to have survived. Percy and Artemis trap Atlas beneath the sky, but Atlas casts Zoë off a cliff, mortally wounding her. Before the events of The Lost Hero, Jason Grace led the Roman camp's assault on Mount Tamalpais and defeated the Titan Krios in combat.
