Delphi

Where the mist once spoke in riddles, and the world held its breath for an answer that could save or doom it all.

In the Percy Jackson books, Delphi in Greece is the seat of the Oracle of Delphi, which gives the demigods their prophecies; the mummified Oracle is kept at Camp Half-Blood. After Kronos's defeat, the mortal Rachel Elizabeth Dare, who can see through the Mist, becomes the new Oracle of Delphi.

Lore & Background

In The Trials of Apollo, Delphi has been lost to the serpent Python: the Delphic Oracle ceases to function, halting demigod quests, and Rachel can no longer issue prophecies. In The Hidden Oracle, Apollo and Meg McCaffrey end up under Delphi during a race through the Labyrinth and overhear Python, Delphi's guard, plotting with 'the Beast' to control all the oracles. In The Tower of Nero, Apollo kills Python, and Rachel regains her powers of foresight.

Reader's Guide

To get back his godly form, Apollo must restore the Oracle of Delphi from Python as well as save four other oracles.
