Percy Jackson Codexery

Manhattan

Percy Jackson's home, the way into Olympus and the battlefield of the Second Titan War.

Manhattan is Percy Jackson's home: he lives on the Upper East Side. The Empire State Building is the secret entrance to Olympus, the home of the gods. In The Last Olympian, the Titan army attacks New York City, and the demigods make their last stand in the blocks around the Empire State Building to protect Mount Olympus.

Lore & Background

Just before that battle, New York City is put under a powerful sleeping spell by Morpheus, Hecate and Kronos. The Mist, the force that obscures gods and monsters from most mortals, hides the mythological world from the city's people; Rachel Elizabeth Dare is a mortal girl who can see through it. In The Tower of Nero, the emperor Nero threatens that Manhattan will burn unless Apollo and Meg surrender within two days.

Reader's Guide

In The Hidden Oracle, Apollo falls to Earth in a New York City alley as the mortal Lester Papadopoulos and meets Meg McCaffrey after two thugs sent by Nero attack him in Manhattan.
