The Revolutionary Army is a military force of rebels that operates across the world of One Piece and openly aims to overthrow the World Government.

Lore & Background

Its founder and leader is Monkey D. Dragon, Luffy's father, a former Marine who deserted after seeing the service's corruption and first formed the Freedom Fighters against corrupt monarchs. Sabo, Luffy's sworn brother, is its chief of staff and later eats Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit. Captains lead divisions that each cover one sea, among them Lindbergh, a cat mink who serves as the army's scientist. Hack teaches Fish-Man Karate in the army, with Koala as his assistant. Members of the army helped Luffy free the prisoners of Impel Down, and the army aided the Eight-Nation Revolution that toppled King Seki.
