Sea Kings and Giants

Lore & Background

Sea Kings are huge serpent-shaped monsters that eat ships; they infest the Calm Belt, the strips of still ocean that bound the Grand Line, and they surround the supermax prison Impel Down. Shanks lost his left arm saving the young Luffy from one, and the mermaid princess Shirahoshi can speak with them. Giants are one of the world's races, alongside dwarves, merfolk, fish-men and the Minks, and the category also covers the ancient giants and artificial giants; many giants come from Elbaph, and Big Mom earned their lasting anger with a rampage there in her youth.
