Bathydevius is a genus of sea slug that stands out for its strange appearance and lifestyle. Its name comes from Greek and Latin roots meaning "deep" and "out of the way." This nudibranch lives in the deep North Pacific Ocean and contains just one species, *B. caudactylus*, which has finger-like projections on its tail. It is the only member of its family, Bathydeviidae.
