Raiders of the Nether
Golden armor is the only peace treaty with these fiery guardians.
In the depths of the Nether dimension, a faction of golden-armored humanoids guards ancient structures known as Bastion Remnants. While often referred to by adventurers as 'Raiders' due to their aggressive defense tactics and tendency to ambush intruders, these beings are canonically identified as Piglins. They serve as the dominant guardians of this hellish realm's most valuable resources.

Lore & Background
Unlike standard hostile mobs, Piglins follow a complex set of social rules based on barter and respect for wealth. When approached with gold ingots, they may offer rare items in exchange, ranging from enchanted gear to nether warts. However, this truce is fragile; breaking the terms of their agreement instantly turns them into lethal enemies. They are known to teleport away when attacked by players wearing full gold armor.
In Their Own Story
The torch flickered against the blackstone walls as the explorer stepped onto the crimson planks. A low grunt echoed from the shadows, followed by the glint of polished gold axes. Three Piglins emerged, their snouts twitching at the scent of leather armor on the intruder. The traveler froze, realizing too late that in this realm, vanity was survival. One raised a weapon, and the air grew hot with impending violence.
Reader's Guide
Surviving encounters with these Nether inhabitants requires strict adherence to their social protocols. Always equip at least one piece of gold armor before entering a Bastion Remnant; without it, they will attack on sight regardless of your actions. If you wish to avoid combat entirely, wear full gold armor and keep your distance from their valuable loot chests. Bartering is the safest way to acquire resources. Tossing a gold ingot into the air summons items like obsidian or fire resistance potions. Be cautious not to mine gold blocks within their vicinity, as this provokes immediate aggression even if you are armored correctly. Piglin Brutes cannot be traded with and should always be avoided. Finally, remember that these mobs do not despawn naturally in the Nether. They will hunt you relentlessly until you retreat or succumb. Bring plenty of fire resistance potions and a strong weapon to handle any accidental breaches of their golden law.
