Illium

Illium is a hot garden world in Mass Effect, run by asari corporate interests as a trading hub between the Terminus Systems and the Asari Republics. To encourage trade, Council customs rules on goods and contracts are relaxed there. It is one of the younger asari colonies, and because the surface is so hot most people live near the poles or in tall arcology towers.
