Rannoch
The quarian homeworld, held by the geth for centuries.
Rannoch is the homeworld of the quarians in the Mass Effect series. The quarians were driven from it by the geth, the synthetic race they created, and have wandered the galaxy ever since in the Migrant Fleet. Part of Mass Effect 3 takes place there.

Background
The geth revolt killed most of the quarian population, and the survivors fled into exile in the Migrant Fleet, a huge flotilla of salvaged ships. In Tali's story, the wish to reclaim Rannoch drives a rise of irredentism in quarian society. The geth kept the planet in an almost pristine, ordered state during their occupation.
For Rannoch's quarian environments the art team kept an industrial style, adding modular stainless-steel sections inspired by the Lloyd's building in London.
In Mass Effect 3 the quarians offer to support the Alliance if Shepard helps them retake Rannoch. Shepard disables the Reaper control signal over the geth and destroys a Reaper base on the planet, after which the war ends with one side wiping out the other or with a negotiated ceasefire.
