Systems Alliance
Humanity's representative body and military in Citadel space.
The Systems Alliance is the representative body of Earth and all human colonies in Citadel space in Mass Effect, and humanity's military, exploratory and economic spearhead. Within a year of a mining team's 2148 discovery of ancient alien ruins on Mars, Earth's eighteen largest nations drafted and ratified its charter and pooled their military resources, and in 2149 the Alliance found the Charon Relay orbiting Pluto. It is governed by a parliament based at Arcturus Station, which is also its capital, and it has already won humanity an embassy on the Presidium.
