Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is an American visual effects, computer animation and stereo conversion studio founded by George Lucas on May 26, 1975, while he was making Star Wars. It is a division of Lucasfilm, which the Walt Disney Company bought in 2012, and has been based at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio since 2005.

ILM has produced effects for the whole Jurassic Park series. For the 1993 film it created the first complete, detailed living creatures made with digital technology, work that won the studio its thirteenth Oscar; its artists used a program called Viewpaint to paint colour and texture straight onto the computer models.
