The toy company behind the original Jurassic Park toy lines.
Kenner Products is an American toy brand, once a toy company of its own and now owned by Hasbro. Founded in 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by the brothers Albert, Philip and Joseph L. Steiner, Kenner made the first Star Wars action figures and also produced merchandise for Jurassic Park and Batman.
Kenner passed through General Mills (1967) and Tonka (1987) before Hasbro bought Tonka in 1991. Its Jurassic Park Chaos Effect line of 1998 sold less than expected. When Hasbro closed Kenner's offices in 2000, the Jurassic Park design team had just begun early concepts for Jurassic Park III, and Hasbro handed those toys to its Star Wars design team instead.
