The Void
The evil entity Enuo unleashed and Exdeath seeks to command.
In Final Fantasy V, the Void is an evil entity whose power the mage Enuo used to imperil the world a thousand years before the story. The people defeated Enuo with twelve legendary weapons, but the Void itself could not be destroyed and was sealed in a dimensional cleft between the two worlds.
Lore & Background
Since that incident, malicious demons had been sealed inside a tree in the Great Forest of Moore. Exdeath, resurrected from a thorn that leaps from Krile's palm, takes full command of the Void and seeks its power at the centre of the rift.
With help from a reformed Gilgamesh, the heroes find and defeat Exdeath, then use the power of the crystal shards to seal the Void once more and restore the reunified world and its crystals. In Final Fantasy III the Cloud of Darkness likewise declares its intent to return existence to the void.
