Force Edge
Sparda's dormant sword, the prize of Temen-ni-gru and Dante's first blade.
Force Edge is the unawakened form of the Devil Sword Sparda, the demon-forged sword of the Dark Knight Sparda, imbued with his power. Sparda left it in the demonic realm, and in Devil May Cry 3 it is what Arkham and Vergil are really after: Arkham reaches it through the opened gate, and after his defeat Dante and Vergil fight over it in the demon world. In the first Devil May Cry it is Dante's starting weapon, a memento of his father; when Vergil's half of the amulet joins Dante's, Force Edge changes into its true form, the Sparda. Trish wields the Sparda in Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, and in Devil May Cry 5 V finds the Devil Sword Sparda hiding a comatose Dante, who absorbs it with Rebellion to forge the Devil Sword Dante.

Background
In its dormant state Force Edge is an ornate but fairly plain sword with a W-shaped guard recalling Sparda's horns and four skulls on the pommel. Awakened, its blade becomes a spine-like structure joined to two curved blades that can be reoriented, which lets Dante and Trish turn it into a scythe or a glaive. Vergil can also summon spectral copies of the Force Edge as his Summoned Swords.
